Scientific Weight Loss – Lose 10 Kilos in 30 Days!

Part –3

Midway of the Journey

Hola once again to all those following the journey of how to get 10 kgs lighter in just thirty days. To those who are new to my blog, take a look at my previous blog posts titled Kick Start The Journey, and The Journey Continues before you read this one. This is the third in the series of posts that outline my 10-step diet plan, helping you bid adios to those repulsive fat rolls, the sight of which causes all vestiges of self-respect to evaporate.

Don’t Knock It, Till You’ve Tried It!

With so many diet plans out there, it’s easy to be sceptical of this one. However, I personally guarantee that by following the steps I have mentioned, you could be looking at a slimmer and stronger person in the mirror in just about a month’s time! This easy-to-implement diet plan shows the simple, easy things that can be included in daily life to slowly yet effectively lose those flabby love handles.

Before we somersault into step 6, 7 and 8 of the plan, here is a quick run-through.

I have created a ten-step sustainable plan to bring you back to the pink of health in just a month. All of this without wasting money on a costly membership at a gym, or by undergoing any sort of stress-inducing workout. Each step of this amazing regimen has corresponding points. The point d’appui of this plan is to gain a total of 60 reward points per day, so as to reach the ultimate goal of 1800 points in a month. These 1800 reward points approximate to 10 kgs in weight. The previous posts covered five steps with a total of 47 points. This post adds 18 more reward points to the goal of 60/day.

Step VI. Consume one teaspoon of Cinnamon with Hot Water after Every Meal
Reward Points: 5

Drink a small cup of hot water with some fresh lemon juice that has been simmered with few ginger slices, one teaspoon of cinnamon and a pinch of turmeric, after each meal you take. The secret of fat loss is not to have your sugar levels rise after your meal. Cinnamon prevents blood sugar from spiking and thus helps in effectively controlling your blood sugar levels. Drink this immediately after you eat your food. At this point, you are probably shaking the head and furrowing those eyebrows. Why? Is it because a previous step said to avoid water until 2 hrs after a meal? Read through this step, once again. Drink only a small cup of water. It is when we drink more than a glass or two that digestive issues arise.

You might wonder at the efficacy of taking warm water after meals to lose weight. Au contraire mon ami, warm water spurs on weight loss as per research and studies. This is because heated water increases the speed of metabolism by increasing the body temperature. Additionally, it washes down any food particles that may get stuck in the food pipe after we have had our fill of gastronomic pleasures. The spices that are added to the cup of water help remove any toxins from our system. They even decrease bloating, a common issue with people living in warm countries.

Step VII. Morning Elixir of Health

Many of you may have noticed that an underlying factor when it comes to slimming down, is water. Hydration is a vital factor that takes precedence in all credible weight loss programs. That is why people repeat ad nauseam – drink plenty of water.

Your First Drink of the Day!

Water is nature’s wonder drink – consuming it early in the morning, helps our cause. By adding easy-to-find ingredients in water like apple cider vinegar, one may actually accelerate the degree of weight loss! Thus, the seventh step of my 10 stage diet plan is drinking 500 ml of water mixed with lemon juice, baking soda and apple cider vinegar. A quarter teaspoon of the soda, two tablespoons of the vinegar and half a lemon are enough to make this wondrous drink.

It is the apple cider vinegar in the concoction that accelerates weight loss as it aids in digestion. Improperly digested food is one of the main reasons people gain weight. Another benefit of apple cider vinegar is that it reduces glucose levels in the body. People who are obese or suffer from diabetes can acquire several advantages by drinking apple cider vinegar. Research has shown that individuals who imbibe apple cider vinegar before a meal have 20% less glucose levels. The baking soda is added to the mixture to reduce the acidity levels of the vinegar. A high pH value, like the one in vinegar, produces harmful effects such as removing the enamel of our teeth. Lemon and baking soda both increase the alkalinity of the mixture, thereby removing any side effects.

An Inside Tip – Mix the apple cider vinegar for a minute as it takes time to dissolve properly. The mixture has a sour flavour. To change the taste of your mouth, chew a few pieces of carrot or tomato afterwards.

Step VIII. Take Coffee with Ghee instead of breakfast

The combination may sound unappealing, but surprisingly, it doesn’t taste bad! Believe me you. Every morning, instead of preparing breakfast, have one cup of coffee mixed with either two tablespoons of ghee or pasture fed butter. You will not only save on time but have a high-energy meal substitute that keeps the hunger pangs at bay till it is time for lunch. The amalgamation of coffee and ghee gives the body an injection of fat instead of carbohydrates (think bread and sugar). When the body does not have carbs on hand, it uses up fat to create the energy needed by us.

This process of using fat as fuel is called ketosis and many low-carb diet regimens, like Atkins, are based on it. When the body burns fat, it strips the extra calories which in turn leads to weight-loss. I have borrowed this idea from the bestselling author and creator of Bulletproof Coffee Mr. Dave Asprey.

An inside tip – A carb-filled breakfast, for most of us, is a moment on the lips, forever on the hips. It also comes hand-in-hand with Hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar causes lethargy and sleepiness. Now you know why you feel so lazy after a substantial breakfast! When you eat a fat-rich breakfast, you forgo these side-effects.

We are almost at the end of the ten-step plan to weight loss. Getting slimmer is like a leaky faucet, it requires constant maintenance. Follow all the eight steps outlined so far every day, and you can be sure that you are on the right path. To keep things lively, switch between the steps every week or five days. It will keep boredom at bay.
