The Law of Assumption
The Law of assumption stems from the idea that we constantly make assumptions about other people’s motives, attitudes, and beliefs. We assume people think, feel, and act a certain way and make those assumptions based on past experiences. It’s important to remember that everyone has unique values, goals, and beliefs. We must therefore be careful not to jump to conclusions when interacting with others. Instead of assuming that someone is acting in a self-serving manner when they behave differently than you expect, it’s best to take the time to get to know them better before drawing any conclusions. Doing so will enable you to gauge their true motives more accurately.
The Law of assumption is also the idea that we assume what we observe. We assume that other people are like us because we see them acting in similar ways, and they see us working similarly. We assume that things happen for a reason or that they will turn out well. There are two key things to remember about the Law of assumption: Firstly, it’s an automatic human tendency. You see someone act a certain way and automatically assume they’re like you. Secondly, you must be aware of your assumptions and how they might affect your life. Trying to take back control by being aware of your assumptions can help you make better decisions and take better care of yourself.
The Law of assumption which I will be mainly focusing here is a philosophy put forth by Neville Goddard. Neville Goddard, born on February 15, 1905, in Barbados, was a metaphysical teacher. He taught the Law of attraction through speeches on television, radio, books, and live seminars. Goddard asserted that what we assume to be true, we call into our reality. The Law of assumption uses imagination as the trigger for realising our dreams and aspirations. It declares that what we can imagine, we can create.
The Law of Assumption is a means of manifesting wishes by holding a state of mind and the feeling that those desires, wishes and aspirations have already been fulfilled. Neville Goddard clarified that achieving the desired goal has everything to do with one’s state of mind rather than mere action.
According to the Law of Assumption, enunciated by Neville Goddard’s, your life manifests your persistent assumptions. For example, if you deep down believe that you don’t deserve large sums of money and don’t feel worthy of a lavish income, your life will make you toil for money. You will have to work hard for a minuscule amount in return. The construction workers and agricultural labourers work hard for daily wages that are just enough to cover their daily expenses. It is very difficult for them to assume a life of wealth and luxury, so they are stuck in such a life.
Similarly, If we do not love ourselves and assume that we are unlovable. The Law of Assumption will do precisely that. That is, it will keep one away from genuine love and relationships. Neville Goddard taught the essence of the Law of assumption almost a century ago, but this keeps happening naturally in our lives because our assumptions
get out pictured. Without realising this truth behind our manifestations, we tend to give credit to myriad other reasons or to a series of events that brought about the manifestation, making us oblivious to the real cause of the phenomenon, which is our assumption. A man who many women love will appear a certain way to others. People will attribute his looks, money or charm to the cause of his success with the ladies. The same is the case for a rich man. No one will believe that the cause of his success is his assumptions.
If you successfully apply this Law in your life, it will completely change you. Still, sometimes we forget or become ignorant of the real cause and give credit to outward circumstances instead of our assumptions and thoughts. We don’t realise that we cannot stop using this Law as this Law is the Law of life itself.. Hence, the quality of your assumptions and thoughts will shape the days to come. That is why the worse off a man is, the worse it gets for him simply because of his state of mind; he is probably assuming the worst and expecting the worst to come into his life. And so it is if you begin to assume the good and accept all your desires. If you feel worthy of it and encourage them in your mind, you will have them. This Law cannot be put on hold or stopped. You cannot avoid the Law of the assumption so long as you’re thinking, so why not use it properly? Since you cannot stop using it?
Sometimes, people unconsciously apply the Law and get the girl of their dreams or manifest their dream job. Most times, when someone manifests a victorious life through assumption, most people point towards the person’s incredible luck. They may also declare that it would have happened anyways. Or they would point to the series of events for their success. But the person who assumes and manifests will most often become aware that he is the one who caused it because a creator knows his creation. Sometimes change or success may come about in such a natural way that the person who made his assumption consciously or unconsciously may not realise it and believe that it would have happened anyways . But it doesn’t. You change your assumptions about life, and then life reflects on you. Of course, a man who has a lot of money versus a man who doesn’t are completely different people. So for the Law to make you wealthy, it will have to change you drastically. In your changing, you will naturally reflect the prosperity consciousness within onto your reality as the accumulation of wealth. So we should be vigilant because we can quickly get back to our old thinking habits, abuse the Law, and manifest terrible things in our life. We cannot stop using this Law. So we may use it well.
Here are some practical steps for applying the Law to find what you want. You must be very clear about what you want. If you are confused, then you manifest confusion. So define what you want clearly. Then put yourself into a relaxed passive state called the alpha state, a sleeping meditative state in scientific terms. sit or lay down. Be as
relaxed as you can be. Now imagine a scene that implies fulfilling your desire, a short 10 to 22nd clip in first person view. If you want money. Imagine someone dear to you congratulating you on your wonderful wealthy life, your mother or best friend hugging you or being genuinely happy for you. Feel yourself right into that scene. Make the scene as real as possible in your mind, as though it is happening right now. The passive state will help you to feel it real in and out. Now repeat the scene over and over again till you feel as though it is happening right now. And as you feel the satisfaction of it, fall asleep in that state. It is best to practice this 30 minutes before bedtime to easily fall asleep with your wish fulfilled if you successfully impress your subconscious mind with this method. You will wake up the following day completely fulfilled, as though you have manifested your desire fully.
If you wish to repeat it, you can as many times as you want, or you can let it be after feeling satisfied. And then, a series of events will unfold that will lead you to fulfil your desire. The change you experience will depend on how massive the desire or dream was. If you want millions, you will have them, but not in the current version of you will have to switch your identity to become the person to whom it is natural to have millions or be worthy of it. That is how this Law works. You could affirm your new assumption each night or whenever you feel like it.
Joe Vitale, a star in the movie Secret, repeatedly affirmed by repeating this – I am earning a lavish steady, dependable income doing something I love with ease. As a result, his revenue increased tenfold. Shankar, a businessman , affirmed that the girl by name Radhika that he loved, wouldn’t be able to live without him. His affirmation came true. So techniques do not matter. You can use whatever method you like or no method at all. Just be aware of your assumptions, change them to how you want them, and stick with them. Persist in the new assumptions; as I warned you earlier, you will suddenly change your reality. So be careful about what you assume. As this Law can bring good and bad. It has no preference.
If you want something and persist, it will happen, and you will change. That is why don’t just say you want millions. Say you want a great income doing something you love because you might get millions but hate your work. And it might make your life miserable. The Law will get you what you want, and you might not like how it will do it. So be careful. Imagine what is excellent and beautiful and look away from all the negative things, and don’t give any attention to the useless news and drama of others. It all influences your assumptions, and you will manifest them in your life. Again, you cannot stop applying this Law. You might as well use it to get what you want and have a great life. So do it intentionally and choose positively.
